Bonnie Zindel is in private practice in New York City. She is a training and supervising analyst and is a member of the graduate teaching faculty of the National Institute for the Psychotherapies in Manhattan. She is a founding editor and a member of the Editorial Board of Psychoanalytic Perspectives, where she is Creative Literary Editor, and has made space in the journal for creative expression though poetry and short stories -- the first time this has been done in a psychoanalytic journal.

Her articles have been published in professional journals, and she leads writing groups for psychotherapists and writers. She has conducted workshops on writing and creativity throughout the US and in London and Oxford.

Bonnie received the 2004 Award for Excellence from NIP for her creative contribution to the field. She has presented at numerous professional conferences.

Her paper, “The Hero’s Journey in Psychoanalysis” was selected for presentation at the International Conference of the Association for Relational Psychoanalysis (IARPP) in Athens, Greece in 2007 attended by psychotherapists from over thirty-five countries.

She is also a published novelist & playwright.
